This page contain information on how you and ABC Family Nursery can work together for your child.

In Partnership with Parents

ABC Family Nursery works very closely with parents to enable us to offer continuity for the children. We achieve this by;

* Working in conjunction with parent’s wishes wherever possible.
* Parents evening are held twice a year, where parents can come and discuss their child’s development and progress. (Crèche facilities available)
* Regular newsletters, via the website which includes suggestions for ‘Activities at home’.
* Parents are welcome to drop by to see their child at any time and are encouraged to enter the play areas to see what the children have been doing.
* Discussing the day-to-day progression of their child.
* Ensuring we offer time and support for parents.
* Settling in procedure. The parents know their children better than we do. Parents are offered the chance to use the nursery as a form of parent and toddler group, to give them the opportunity to meet the carers prior to their child starting.
* We offer information on training courses (internal and external) for parents along side our staff. To include first aid and food hygiene.
* Feedback from parents via, suggestion box, questionnaires, letters and verbally.
* Pediatric first aid courses in association with E.M.P. (nationally recognised).
* Fun days/charity fund raising events.
* Reading at home scheme (sharing of books).
* Parent volunteers for outings and help within the nursery.
